I am now a Liveryman to The Worshipful Company of Blacksmiths and I have been granted the freedom of the city of London.
The makers stamp PG and The Worshipful Company of Blacksmiths, the hammer and crown, this stamp should only be used on high standard work and to be approved by the WCB.
Silver Medal for highest standard
In 2020, Paul Gilbert received a Silver Medal from The Worshipful Company of Blacksmiths for attaining the highest standard of work to become an Eminent Master Blacksmith. This awards Paul the title of an Eminent Master Blacksmith and entitles him to be a Fellow of The Worshipful Company of Blacksmiths, F.W.C.B.

Award winning master artist blacksmith Paul Gilbert won National Champion Blacksmith 2017 of the year by The Worshipful Company of Blacksmiths, losing out on first place by only one point.
The competition saw Paul’s work showcased across eight locations including Devon. Last year he was awarded Master Blacksmith, and he has recently worked on the Lord Mayor Treloar’s Arch, which was shown at the Lord Mayor’s show in November.
